The Emmanuel Foundation has long been committed to ensuring access to education for disadvantaged and poverty stricken children. One of its flagship initiatives, the EduNation Outreach Programme (ENOP), is making a significant impact by providing tens of thousands of scholarships to children in over 500 schools. Building on this mission, the foundation has partnered with the Jakarta Hotels Association (JHA) to launch a transformative training program aimed at preparing marginalized students for careers in the hospitality industry.

Bridging Education and Opportunity

The EduNation Program’s training initiative is designed to support disadvantaged and marginalized students by equipping them with basic hospitality skills and providing pathways to training and employment opportunities in hotels. This collaboration between the Emmanuel Foundation and JHA exemplifies a shared commitment to creating opportunities for underprivileged youth.

Comprehensive Training Through Workshops

The program features 16 hybrid workshops—conducted both on-site and virtually—in collaboration with JHA. A total of 24 high school students from grades 10 and 11, all with no prior background in hospitality, will participate in these workshops. These sessions aim to provide foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in hospitality, preparing students for future roles in the industry.

A Collective Effort

The program’s success is made possible through the dedication and support of 11 esteemed JHA hotel members, which include:

  • Hotel Indonesia Kempinski
  • Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta
  • Wyndham Casablanca
  • DoubleTree by Hilton
  • Sari Pacific Hotel Jakarta
  • Hotel Aryaduta
  • Gran Melia
  • Fairmont Jakarta
  • Mandarin Oriental
  • Raffles Jakarta
  • Pan Pacific Jakarta

Their active participation not only enriches the program but also provides invaluable real-world insights to the students.

A Vision for the Future

Through this initiative, the Emmanuel Foundation and JHA aim to inspire and empower the next generation of hospitality professionals. By offering these students a chance to learn and grow, the program is a step towards breaking the cycle of poverty and enabling them to achieve their full potential.

This collaboration stands as a testament to the power of partnership and shared vision in creating a brighter future for all.
